Womenswear

We need 8 womens casual trousers designed for A/W 2012 based on current trends. We will be looking to sell these to our clients in the US.

We expect full spec packs including all measurements, seaming & stitch size and any hardware details, label placements, internals etc.
Any details need to be enlarged with full measurements.
Spec packs need to be very clear and comprehensive, ideally in Illustrator or Photoshop format.
Samples will be made in a size 12.

All colours need to be provided with a pantone reference.
After your bid is accepted we will expect to see 16 rough sketches via e-mail from which we will choose the final 8 for you to then fully spec up.
Chosen designer will be fully briefed.

Reading your requirements, my understanding is that you do not have the designs done which means that you need design sketches as well as technical illustrations to be done.

If so, could you please give me details as to the brand itself. The concept, the target age groups and price points.

I am interested in this project. There are just a couple of points I want to clarify:
1) Specs / tech packs I can provide as excel sheets w/ scan sketches, blow up and any relevant photos ( I can provide examples in advance as well)- Is excel acceptable

2)I am US based and much faster to think in inches (vs cm). Is this acceptable?

3) IS fabric already sourced and merchandised to design into?

Just a quick question. When you say spec do you just need the spec done for first proto sample? Or do you want a full size spec?

Hi.

With my 7 years in fashion industry, working with start ups to larger high street brands doing both design, garment technology and production, I feel confident that I would be the right person for this project.
I have a good knowledge of materials and work manship. I can supply full spec packs in photoshop or illustrator with graded measurements charts.
I have also had my own womenswear label for 4 years.
