Question

Posted by Camilla Wellton on 18/12/2011

Dear Sir/Madame

Just to make sure i understand you. Do you want us to do all the work you listed in the ad Before you accept our bid?
I´d be happy to send over portfolios of previous collections, as well as some sketches so you can see my skills.

I´ve been practicing Hatha Yoga for over 18 years both as a student and a teacher alongside my work as a high end fashion designer.
So i´m well acquainted with the needs and requirement of yoga wear as well fabric and feminine yet practical design.

Please answer me your email and i´ll send over my portfolios.

Best regards
Camilla Wellton

Questions

Dear Yoga collection reponsible.

First a little quick introduction.

With my 10 years in the sportswear industry, working with some of the bigger commercial brands (Puma, Adidas, Le Coq Sportif) doing both fashion, sports fashion and sports technical garments, I feel confident that I would be the right person for this project.
Being myself a yoag teacher and a devoted runner, I have a lot of insight in what is out already there in the marked and what is the best apparel to wear while doing yoga.

I am currently located in Denmark, Copenhagen and have been working for scandinavian brands doing yoga and running clothing.

I think my design skills could provide you with just the right best selling yoga collection and I look forward to hopefully getting a change of showing you my designs.

I will make a bid on the collection today.

Wishing you a perfect day.

Best regards

Camila Vesth

Dear Sir/ Madame,
my name is Francesca and I am specialized on working in circular knit fabric.
I've been working in fashion in this area for about 6 years.
I normally do a collection plan with sketches (made by hand) and then do the technical sheets in Illustrator with all details to make the correct physical sample.
I have a good knowledge of materials, fabric and work manship and I'm a very "sport style" person.
If you want I can send you some exaples of my work.
Sincerely,

Dear Sirs,

I am extremely interested in completing this yoga collection for you.

I have several years experience designing for the UK highstreet, including Next, M&S, Burtons, River Island, Urban Outfitters, and more.

I also designed a womenswear range for a surf/skate brand including casualwear, jersey and woven pieces and a yoga collection.

I believe I could bring something very new and exciting yet very commercial and comfortable practical clothing for your consumer.

Please consider my bid.

I look forward to hearing from you soon,

Many Thanks
Amy Poole

Design format questions

Posted by Rebecca Ann Buckner on 01/01/2011

I am very interetsed in working on this project, mainly because I am a passionate knitwear designer, yoga teacher and practioner and generally an active person.

I have a question for you about the format in which you need this project designed. I have experience working on Illustrator CS5 from previous jobs yet find hand sketching a faster and more creative way of designing for myself. I am interested to know whether you'll accept hand drawn sketches which I then will download into a microsoft word format (previous examples of this layout are on my portfolio page). Also should you be interested to see other examples of my design work ( I did active knits clothing at the Gap and have done knits for various junior and women's lines) please do not hesitate to ask for examples. I do not use this website regulary so have not made great efforts to display my work.

I look forward to hearing you.

All the best,
Rebecca Buckner

Dear Sir / Madam

I work freelance for a London based yoga brand named Five Feathers where I design the full womenswear / menswear and accessories collections for the label.

Also my main responsibility is sourcing manufacturing, managing the garment production process and sourcing fabrics that are full with technical properties that can function when being worn during practice.

When working with Five Feathers, I also work with their manufacturer in Dhaka during fittings and other technicalities of the garment production process.

I can offer you full colour cad flats with measurements, indicative fabric guides and weights and even Pantone colour codes for each garment.

I also have experience designing prints for Five Feathers and can offer you beautiful artwork to go with each garment if you like.

It would be great to meet in person so that I can show you my portfolio in person, as I tend not to display all my work due to my clients confidentiality.

I look very much to hearing from you.

Regards

Erin Donohoe
