Knitwear

We need 12 childrens (girls) knitwear specs designed for Autumn/Winter 2013

Target age group 1-12 years. Styles should be fashionable & stylish.
We are looking for designs with something more than basic cashmere wardrobe essentials (crew, v-necks etc).
Each style needs something interesting, giving it a point of difference from classic cashmere garments, but still retaining broad appeal.
We expect full spec packs including all measurements and any hardware details, label placements etc.
Any details need to be enlarged with full measurements.
Spec packs need to be very clear and comprehensive, ideally in Illustrator format.
Samples will be made to the size, age 6.
You must provide details of what the gauge & knit structures will be.
All colours need to be provided with an industry standard reference.

After your bid is accepted we will expect to see 20 rough sketches via e-mail from which we will choose the final 12 for you to then fully spec up.

We are looking for a designer with experience in high-end luxury childrens knitwear and dealing with factories in the far east.

I have over 6 yrs experience within the industry. I also have links with overseas factories. I feel i would be an ideal candidate for this project.

Hi, just wanted to say 'hello' and let you know how keen I am to work on your Girlswear cashmere project..!

I'm also very interested in working on the Boyswear & Babywear projects (if you selected me for one project I'd be happy to undertake the other 2 at a reduced rate!)

I have 7 years experience designing knitwear for all levels of the UK high street, including womenswear, childrenswear & also some menswear. I am accustomed to producing detailed specs for the far east, and have a broad understanding of their capabilities & techniques.

I am currently working full time designing Womenswear for the UK hight street, so I have a good awareness of trend / colour / pattern direction - much of which I feel would translate beautifully into Childrenswear...!

I am extremely keen to expand my Childrenswear portfolio (it is my favourite area of design), and would love to work with you on this / these projects.
