Eclectic Milan's insiders guide to Milan Fashion Week

Eclectic Milan's insiders guide to Milan Fashion Week
Farah from Eclectic Milan's first blog posting for The Ragtrader. In it she shares her thoughts from inside Milan Fashion Week.
From Prada to NUDE via Karl & Anna on the way.....

Milan Fashion Week: My inside view part one.

Another Milan Fashion week starts, and Eclectic Milan was there.
I was wondering how this A/W 2010-11 was going to be after two seasons of major crisis, but I must say that I was positively surprised to see that almost all the Italian fashion brands made a big effort to show the 'fashion dream' that we all wish to see at least twice a year.
I'll share with you the most interesting, relevant shows, the ones I had the opportunity to attend.

Simonetta Ravizza
I must say that I don't like fur, but somehow it happened that I went to see the show after the PR girl convince me to and I was surprise. In a Milan Fashion Week where almost everyone uses full black as a color, Simonetta Ravizza kicked off with cool color and animal prints coats, bags and shoes, something in between punk/rock and old lady look. Generation Next & NUDE (emerging designers fashion show)
I am going to be honest.... nothing cool to say about this show.... not even if a friend of mine was doing it, but I want to show you some pictures and still share it as I think it is very important to support young emerging designers. Picture 2.

Second Day: So now we are talking....

Prada
As ALWAYS.... the best!!!!!! Miuccia always give us something new to play with!!! I was very lucky to get to see the show... it was so conceptual, so cool and so unique... she presented this sort of half mistress, half teacher woman, that left us with our mouths open!!!
Unfortunately I couldn't take pictures inside, but instead got some from style.it to share. Pictures 3 & 4.

Fendi
Lagerfield is done??? I don't think so, just to remind you that Madame Wintour was 'so busy' that she asked to cut Milan Fashion Week and instead of 5 days, squashed all of it into 3 days... I really think she should start to respect other peoples work....
All I can say is Fendi was so good that she had to come before.... Just saying....Pictures 5 & 6.

D&G
When I was studying fashion I remember that I really liked D&G, but after I started working in the accessories design department at Dolce & Gabbana I lost all that enthusiasm!!!!
This D&G show reminds me of the old good ones. I am glad to see that they are on track again. Picture 7.

Third Day

Versace
Cool, very cool... sophisticated and charming, not too many people but the ones that count...
I like the woman they presented, sexy and hot (as usual) but classy this time. Picture 8.

Giuliano Fujiwara
I LOVE it!!!!! This is a small brand, very conceptual and intellectual, the designer, Japanese, loves architecture, and you can see it in the garments. I told him that the shoes were amazing, and he told me that he was inspired by the Guggenheim...... Pictures 9 & 10.
